So a couple weeks back [[blog:2023-05-28_made_a_hive_stand|I made a hive stand]] out of an old bed frame. The hive in that post had no bees in it... the hive with the bees was put on shipping pallets like [[blog:2023-04-29_getting_ready_for_bees|these ones]]. Well there was a bit of an ant problem... they got in to the plastic board that fits inside the [[https://www.perfectbee.com/blog/screen-bottom-boards-vs-solid-bottom-boards-better|bottom board]] and made a nice little nest in there with piles of eggs. So this morning I cleared out the bee yard quite a bit (to make room for an electric fence) and I relocated the populated hive to the hive stand.
